Web strategy and design driving success for Self Drive Holidays
THIS PROJECT UTILISED SEVERAL OF DUFFY’S SERVICES INCLUDING BRAND IDENTITY DESIGN, PRINT DESIGN, WEB STRATEGY AND DESIGN PLUS KEYWORD RESEARCH.
BRANDING: A clever design in the NZ colour palette of black and white, the stylized steering wheel looks like it could also be a mountain range or a koru design. The Black and white makes it pop out from the stunning NZ scenery behind the brand.
WEB STRATEGY AND DESIGN: SDHNZ wanted a site where customers could build their own holidays. This meant the site needed to hold all the ‘things to do’ and ‘places to see’ in a database. When a customer chooses a region a selection of activities and places respond automatically providing options. Google maps and coordinates have also been used to automatically build holiday maps.
KEYWORD RESEARCH: Keywords can make or break a site. With thorough research several keywords were combined to form the domain name: www.selfdriveholidaysnz.com. This has also been shortened to www.sdhnz.com for ease of typing.
These clever ideas don’t come out of a box in website design. Duffy custom designed each page, and the result is that the site works for the client and they have complete control over it moving forward.
