Modernising of brand identity across website, proposal, template and interior design.
DUFFY DESIGN WAS BOUGHT ON BOARD TO REFRESH AND MODERNISE THE BRAND DESIGN OF ASPEC, ONE OF NEW ZEALAND’S LEADING COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES. IN THIS INDUSTRY WORK IS OFTEN WON THROUGH A TENDERING PROCESS, SO THE LOOK AND FEEL NEEDED TO BE BANG-ON.
Duffy Design modernised the brand by creating a box to frame it. The original font was maintained so there would be no wavering in the brand recognition process. Adding to the box framing were Aspec’s three divisions, Interiors, Construction & Maintenance. Duffy also created a tagline that encompassed Aspec’s values, “Putting life into structures.”
The refreshed logo was put to work in its first application of custom made binders that would be used in the proposals and tender process. Making this process easier for the client Duffy Design made templates in Word for every part of the proposal.
Stage two of the project was to modernise the website. Duffy Design updated front-end and just as importantly the backend, making the new website easier to navigate and understand, and it also runs more efficiently across different platforms.
When Aspec moved offices Duffy Design was contracted to develop some interior wall panels. With a thorough understanding of the business, Duffy Design created pixellated images of their project through the use of halftone screens to create a wallpaper effect. The panels’ angled shape is reminiscent of the outside of the building that has concrete panels in the same angled shapes.
